AfterPrint are delighted to offer this excellent condition 2nd user Duplo 350 Digital Booklet Maker System which marries the DSF-2200 Sheet Feeder, DBM350 Booklet Maker and Trimmer, as well as the added benefit of an ASM350 Square backer. Together creating a cost-effective mid-range booklet-making system. Configured to meet the ever-changing demands of today’s digital printer. Designed to take the printed output from multiple sources and streamline the finishing process through one finishing line.
The system has been fully refurbished, recalibrated and tested by our Duplo trained engineers. The machine is a 2017 build year with under 900,000 (less than 300 hours work) on the total count, as a result the overall condition is excellent.
The complete system is setup in our showroom and ready for any trial or demonstration.
Comes complete with a 3-month mechanical parts warranty.
Future servicing and onsite support available too, options for this can be discussed.
Built around the DSF-2200, a heavy-duty sheet feeding system. Providing the user with the power, reliability and flexibility to handle a wide range of materials with consistent results. Equipped with an 8 belt feeding mechanism which enables the feed head to make contact with a large area of the sheet. Additionally, each bin is equipped with three distinct DC fans: firstly, one generates suction for feeding; secondly, another facilitates front air separation; and finally, the third provides side air. Combined they ensure optimal paper separation and reliable feeding. The Duplo AMS (Air Management System) allows the operator to fine tune air control for each feed tray.
A PC Controller manages the system. This automatically sets up jobs within a few seconds without the need for any tools. The operator can create and save jobs with ease for future recall. State of the art Ultrasonic Technology comes as standard. Moreover, the ultrasonic sensor detects air gaps between the sheets when a double feed occurs, regardless of ink colour or paper density. This enables the operator to feed different paper weights within the same job.
To the left is the DBM-350 Booklet maker and Trimmer, Duplo’s fully automatic mid-range booklet-maker. The DBM-350 meets the needs of a busy digital print environment conscious of budget expenditure, but also meets the demand to produce a broad range of quality material. With this in mind, its typical production is a wide variety of booklet sizes of A4, A5, A6 and landscape A5. Additionally, custom sizes and hand feeding capabilities are also standard.
Stitching heads provide a heavier duty cycle and lower running costs compared to staples. Subsequently, you can also file the booklet in a ring binder by using loop form stitches. An integrated spine press creates flatter books for a better finish. Whilst the fore-edge trimmer unit provides one final neat finish to the booklet.
You can equip the system with features like Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) and optional Barcode Kits that read 1D and 2D barcodes. The kit includes two readers for each feed tray and uses them to check the integrity of each set by reading a printed barcode on every processed sheet. Consequently, this secures the production process by ensuring accurate results. Undoubtedly, these features are particularly vital for personalised and variable production.
