The GBC 16DB is a manually operated comb closing/application machine. It is designed for use with any comb binding punch, especially the GBC Magnapunch Pro, and can handle comb sizes from 6mm to 51mm. This machine’s manual operation and unique locking handle make comb binding easy: at your desk, on a table or at a workstation. An adjustable lock on the closer handle ensures that combs are applied quickly and easily.
Designed for use in any environment the 16DB can bind documents up to 450 sheets in thickness. The large binding area is tilted towards the operator for easy document loading. Whilst also being large enough to support the full document during the binding process.
The 16DB is also specially designed to sit atop the Magna Punch Pro, creating an all in one punch and bind system. During busy periods, the 16DB can be used as a stand-alone machine, allowing one person to punch and another to apply the combs.
GBC is a specialist brand that manufactures high-performance business machines and systems. The GBC story began in 1947 when founder, William Lane, and two business partners helped a local printer. They created a faster, more reliable way to bind and laminate.
GBC, or General Binding Corporation, has a proven history of providing world class, innovative solutions. Often creating first to market ideas and leading the way in specialist binding and laminating. In 1960, GBC introduced the first machine to combine punching and binding, the KomboKoil. Quickly followed by the first electric desktop punch in 1961. GBC were also the first to introduce a tabletop A4 pouch laminator which they first launched in 1966.
Today, GBC has over 70 years of industry expertise; becoming the Global Leader in Binding and desktop laminating.
