The Ideal 4606 is a compact, high-capacity shredder with electronic oil injection and a feeding hopper for crumpled paper. Designed to provide data security for an entire office floor. Incorporating a large 230-litre waste bin capacity and a superb shredding capability of up to 95 x 70gsm sheets per pass***.
The 4606 has a tilting feed hopper with rotating rubber paddles to draw crumpled paper in with ease. The second feed opening is a more traditional feed table for flat paper and computer print-outs. A photo-cell automatically starts and stops the cutting head when using this table feed opening. The feed table folds away when not in use. Easy-switch, an intelligent multi-function switch element with integrated optical signals indicating the operational status comes as standard.
The ECC (Electronic Capacity Control) prevents over-feeding by auto-reversing the shredding heads in the event of an overload. Robust hardened steel shredding heads with Ideal’s electronic oil injection keeps the machine running in peak condition for constantly high performance. The SPS (Safety Protection System) incorporates plenty of safety functions. The electronically secured feed hopper provides access to the shredding head in the event of a jam. Optical waste full sensors and electronic door protection ensure safe operation. The large waste bin is mobile on castors and easily removed from the front of the machine.
