The Ideal 5009 is simply gigantic, designed for really large quantities and complete lever arch files. Incorporating a sophisticated feeding conveyor that guarantees a high work speed without creating paper jams. Large quantities of flat and crumpled paper can be handled with ease. Designed to provide data security for an entire building or company. Incorporating a large 300-litre waste bin capacity and a superb shredding capability of up to 700 x 70gsm sheets per pass***. Shreds and destroys complete lever arch files of data including the metal binding rings.
The 5009 has a large working area at the front of the machine. The integrated conveyor belt delivers your materials into the cutting head, speeding up productivity. An optional modular waste conveyor belt system is available to further enhance productivity by delivering the waste outside of the machine. A wide 500mm working width allows the destruction of wide format documents and bulky items.
The ECC (Electronic Capacity Control) with a twin speed motor automatically slows the motors to increase torque for larger items such as, complete lever arch files. An auto-reverse function further secures the shredding process. Robust hardened steel shredding heads with Ideal’s manual pump oil injection keeps the machine running in peak condition for constantly high performance. The SPS (Safety Protection System) incorporates plenty of safety functions. The shredding head cannot be reached from the front of the machine to prevent accidents. Optical waste full sensors and electronic door protection ensure safe operation. A pull-out mechanism on wheels makes for easy removal of the shred waste bag at the rear of the machine.

Delivery
- A Pre-Delivery Inspection is conducted on every machine prior to shipment
- A site survey will be conducted prior to shipping to ensure the delivery goes smoothly
- Specialist instrument logistics companies with freight insurance are used for delivery
- All deliveries are completed with Tail-Lift equipped vehicles & a minimum two-person team
- Customers are offered suitable timed delivery slots with a 2 Hour delivery window
Installation
- Our Installation Team will arrive at an agreed time to complete the installation (Normally on the same day as the delivery unless otherwise specified)
- The installation team will complete a thorough check of all processes and operations of the machine against the PDI checklist
- If the machine has been split into smaller components for delivery, the installation team will re-build the machine onsite
- Standard installation is ground floor with direct access, splitting the machine and re-building will not incur extra charges
- Installations required on upper floors will require lift access or extra charges will be incurred. All charges will be made clear and agreed upon before the installation date.
Training
- Training will be conducted by our trained and certified Specialist Training Team
- Training includes Best Working Practices for Safe Operation, General Operation, Waste Removal & Operator Maintenance
- All trained operatives will be issued with an official training certificate from our Certified Trainers (Certificates are created and posted within 7-10 days of training completion)
- Training is completed in small groups of up to three people maximum
- Training is normally completed on the same day as the installation

- Manufacturer Warranty on all parts from the date of installation
- All Manufacturer warranties do not include labour, travel or identifying of parts (See Service Section)
