About the Morgana AutoCreaser 50

AfterPrint have available this 2nd user Morgana AutoCreaser 50, an advanced automatic creasing (creasing/creasing-and-perforating) machine designed for professional print-finishing. The machine is intended for handling digitally or lithographically printed sheets — especially coated paper, card, laminated stock or cross-grained stock — and creasing them cleanly for folding, without damaging or cracking the fibres.

It uses a vacuum-suction bottom-feed system which allows for automatic feeding. This also supports manual feed mode if you need to run heavy stock, irregular sheets, embossed stock, or oversize formats.

An important advantage of the Morgana AutoCreaser 50 Mark 2 design is its “rule-and-matrix” creasing mechanism (rather than rotary scoring). This produces clean folds without fibre-tearing or cracking, making it ideal for high-quality brochure, book cover, card or invitation production.

Features of the Morgana AutoCreaser 50

• Wide stock weight range: from light bond paper to heavy board: up to approximately 0.4mm thick (400gsm), including laminated or coated stock
• Large sheet handling: up to 700 x 500mm
• High throughput – up to 8,500 A4 sized sheets per hour, depending on number of creases and material
• Multiple creases per sheet: you can program up to 16 creases on a single sheet, suitable for complex folds (e.g. brochures, gatefolds, multi-panel brochures and folders).
• Perforation capability: useful for creating vouchers, tear-off sections or tickets
• Adjustable crease and depth alignment: blade/anvil settings (and feeding alignment) can be fine-tuned to suit different media types (coated, heavy, laminated, cross-grain).

• preparing folded pieces (e.g. gatefolds, multi-panel brochures, folders, mailers) with precise creases to guarantee clean folding.
• Producing laminated or coated stock pieces, for example, presentation folders, laminated cards. The channel-crease mechanism ensures clean fold without cracking or breakage.
