The Ideal 2270 Deskside Shredders are perfect for use by individuals at the office desk or home for shredding paper (including staples) as well as credit cards. This model also has a second cutting head for CD’s and DVD’s. Incorporating a handy 20 Litre waste bin capacity and superb shredding capability of up to 13 x 70gsm sheets per pass***. The Ideal 2270 also has a split waste cabinet to keep paper and media shredded waste separate. Available in 3 different shred sizes & security levels:

The Ideal 2270 features a photo-cell controlled automatic start and stop function, swivel castors for increased mobility as well as a fully enclosed, dust proof gear box housing for trouble free operation. A high quality plastic cabinet with integrated pull out bin stores the shredded waste. A magnetic proximity switch secures the waste area. A multi-function rocker switch guarantees easy operation with clear forward, reverse and stop positions.

The Ideal SPS (Safety Protection System) incorporates plenty of safety functions. An electronically controlled safety flap prevents unwanted items such as ties, lanyards or long hair from entering the shredder. A reverse and power cut off system protect the motor and gearbox whilst also preventing paper jams. Optical waste full sensors and electronic waste protection ensure safe operation with double motor protection enhancing this with overheat protection.

The Ideal range have all been awarded the ‘Blue Angel’ for their high energy efficiency. The Zero Energy Consumption function in these models means that the machines are completely automatically switched off and thus zero energy consumption after 15 minutes of no use.
