Its auto-reverse overload protection helps reduce jams, while the pre-set paper stop and sight alignment guides make setup fast and accurate. Engineers designed the HD7000 with the operator in mind, offering quick and easy setup, including simple pin pulls and pre-set paper stop positions
The machine punches up to 40 sheets or 80 pages of 80 gsm bond paper per cycle, depending on the die and paper type, and it includes a large waste chip tray while offering a three-year warranty. Engineered and manufactured with precision CNC Machining in Boise, Idaho, USA, the Onyx HD7000 delivers smooth, quiet, power on demand with its 1/3 HP USA made DC motor and USA-made electromagnetic brake. The industrial drive train means this unit never stops punching even in the most demanding environments.

It is a virtually indestructible American table-top punch that professional book binders have relied on for over 30 years, showcasing its quality, performance and longevity.
The Rhin-O-Tuff Onyx HD 7725 Ultima and the Rhin-O-Tuff Onyx HD7000 are both heavy-duty 356mm open-ended electric punches designed for commercial binding, but they differ in capacity and advanced features. The HD7000 is rated to punch up to approximately 40 sheets of 80 gsm paper per cycle, making it well suited to mid- to high-volume environments. In comparison, the HD7725 Ultima offers a higher punching capacity of up to 55 sheets per cycle, positioning it as the more powerful option for demanding production settings.
Both models feature the Quick Change Die System for fast, tool-free die swaps and include reverse functions to reduce jams. Although, the HD7725 Ultima builds on the HD7000’s foundation with enhanced usability features such as the Accu-Set precision paper stop, a larger U-View waste tray, and additional diagnostic indicators. In summary, the HD7000 is a robust and reliable commercial punch for consistent daily use, whereas the HD7725 Ultima is the premium, higher-capacity model designed for heavier workloads and increased operational efficiency.
