Specifications

We have available this Used Rigo Lamibind 340 PUR. The machine is a 2015 model but has only been used for glue development by a UK Glue Manufacturer. As a result, the total count on the machine is just 258 books since new. The machine has been in storage for the past 5 years but was cleaned and the PUR system flushed with the Red Cleaner prior to storage. Afterprint have since flushed the system again with the Blue Wax and ran both PUR and EVA glues on testing. This model uses the Duplo PUR Cartridge system and is the exact same model as the PFI Bind 2000. The binder is in outstanding condition, offering like-new performance and appearance at a significantly reduced price.

About the Rigo Lamibind 340PUR

The Rigo Lamibind 340PUR-melt provides cost-effective, professional semi-automatic PUR binding. Rigo’s PUR binders stand out with their “unique high pressure” closed PUR Application System, making Rigo binders the envy of all other digital PUR binding manufacturers worldwide. This unique PUR Application system removes all the difficulties associated with PUR Binders; this closed tank system applies glue through a patented orbital nozzle system. Therefore, this makes the clean-down and maintenance processes almost redundant.

The system is easy to use and actively reduces the skill level required for PUR binding. Firstly, calibrated adjustment dials allow fast and intuitive setup of the nozzle size to match the book block. Simultaneously, automated systems accurately measure the spine length. As a result, the Lamibind automatically sets the glue application length to the same specification. In addition, operators can fine-tune both the book block positioning and the glue start/stop positions for even greater accuracy. Furthermore, the orbital nozzle application system delivers a precise and consistent quantity of glue to the spine and book sides. Finally, nipping pressure and cover application dwell times are easily adjustable via the touchscreen, giving operators total control at their fingertips

No pre-melter required, the Lamibind uses a unique closed tank system which holds up to 3kgs of glue. A gear pump delivers the glue directly to the orbital nozzle for precise glue application. Electronic measuring of the glue tank keeps the operator informed of glue volumes. After use, operators add flushing cleaner to the tank and quickly flush it through the orbital nozzle for a fast, easy clean-down process. All making the Lamibind the most user friendly PUR binder available.

Perfectly suited to short run on-demand applications of A3, A4 or A5 finished book sizes.
