The Duplo DC-645 production colour finisher automatically cuts, slits, creases and perforates digital print to produce greeting cards, postcards, CD & DVD Covers, business cards and much more – quickly, accurately and profitably.

This DC-645 is the perfect option for the short-run on-demand digital printer. Principally this is the same model as the later generation Duplo DC646 with most of the technology being copied over to the newer models. With the ability to process up to 10 slits, 15 cuts and 10 creases in a single pass, the DC-645 delivers full-bleed applications at impressive speeds. Up to 26 sheets per minute can be processed without white borders and toner cracking for a clean finish.

The DC-645 comes equipped with rotary slitters, a guillotine cutter and a depth adjustable creaser; as well as the optional rotary perforation tool and the business card module, offers the versatility of multiple devices in one integrated system. The automatic 8-belt feeder with mini straightening table ensures the consistent delivery of sheets with no risk of marking. If using digital stocks with high levels of static, the standard fit air knife can assist with sheet separation. An ultrasonic double feed detector, which measures the air gap in each sheet, further secures the production process. Forward and reverse jogger functions make retrieval of mis-feeds or jams easy.

A New PC Controller to Enhance Productivity

Using the Window PC user interface, even inexperienced operators can program jobs with ease. Make quick adjustments, and save an unlimited number of jobs on the hard drive for instant format changes. Review and edit jobs even while the DC-645 is running, further reducing operator setup time and increasing efficiency. Alternatively, operators can use the LCD control panel for set-up and use it to save up to 250 jobs into the built in memory.

Automatic Barcode and Registration Mark Scanner

Using the built-in CCD to read a printed barcode, the DC-645 will recall the job from memory and automatically setup, reducing changeover time and errors. In this way, varied jobs can be loaded and run automatically while the operator attends to other tasks. The automation is complemented by a second feature of the CCD, to read a printed mark and compensate for any horizontal or vertical movement in the image. Ensuring precision finishing every time.
