The Rigo Lamibind 420 PUR is the high speed, large format version of the PFI Bind 2100 model. All Rigo PUR models come with the patented closed PUR System making it extremely simple to use with virtually zero make ready or clean down. The Lamibind 420 PUR it is the perfect binder of choice for today’s digital printer looking to bind difficult or demanding materials with ease. Designed to help commercial and digital printers to bring in-house, highly profitable, short-run, on-demand PUR binding. A key feature of the Lamibind is flexibility. Capable of producing 3 different finishes on one machine including softback binding, tape binding and padding. The Lamibind can also handle sewn sections, single sheets & folded sections to extend its capabilities in a professional environment.
Ridiculously simple to use thanks to an intuitive OMRON touch screen controller. Virtually all functions including the glue length, clamping time, glue temperature & book position are all controlled from the OMRON touch screen. The adjustable glue length and book block positioning give the operator greater control and prove to be extremely useful functions. The latter allows easy binding of different sized book blocks to covers.
Although an entry level PUR solution in the Rigo range, the Lamibind 420 PUR is still a powerful binder. Capable of up to 450 cycles per hour. Larger spine lengths up to 420mm and thicker spines up to 50mm. A fixed 0.5mm tiltable milling & notching blade ensures perfect spine preparation. The unique Closed PUR System ensures perfect glue application whilst retaining a closed loop once the book passes. This unique system prevents glue build up and blockages in the pipework and removes the need for lengthy clean down or make ready. The PUR application nozzle also applies a perfect 7mm bead of glue along the spine edge, perfect for spine/hinge cover application. Whilst the powerful nipping station merges the spine with the cover to form a perfect finish.
Perfectly suited to short run on-demand applications of A3, A4 or A5 finished book sizes.
Also available as the Millbind 420 PUR with electronically controlled Milling Station height adjustment. This allows for trimming down of spines by up to 3mm making it ideal for customers working with folded sections.
