Creasing Machines
Creasing Machines are designed to prevent fibre cracking on digitally printed media. There are a number of methods to apply a crease. These are known as Matrix Rule and Rotary Creasing.
Matrix Rule
A fixed platen consisting of a male blade and a female receiver bar applies the crease. The media is positioned under the platen which is pressed together to form the crease. Simple, low cost and allows multiple creases to be performed in the same pass.
Rotary Creasing
CreaseStream have mastered this method using their patented Tri-Creaser Advance Technology. A male and female rubber insert known as a rib is fitted to special rotary tools. The media is driven between the ribs to form the crease. An extremely quick and reliable solution that provides the highest quality crease.
